SEMH Teaching Assistant – Egham – Immediate Start
An opportunity has become available for a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Egham on a full-time basis (Monday - Friday), starting ASAP.

About the School
* Small specialist SEMH setting with approximately 15–20 students
* Only 2 classrooms, allowing for a close-knit and supportive environment
* Students are supported with a range of needs including:
o SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
o Autism
o ADHD
o PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance)
The Role
* Full-time position
* Working hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
* One day per week staff are required to stay until 5:00pm for curriculum planning and staff meetings
* Supporting students both academically and emotionally
* Building strong, positive relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviours
* Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to provide consistent support
Requirements
* Previous SEN or SEMH experience is essential
* Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, PDA, or behavioural needs is highly desirable
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Calm, resilient, and compassionate approach
* Ability to build trust and maintain professional boundaries
