Benefit Cosmetics are currently recruiting for a VM Apprentice to join their team at their Head Office in Chelmsford, Essex. This is a fantastic development and learning role where you will have the opportunity to work towards a qualification. The role involves carrying out various VM tasks, whilst always maintaining Benefit’s unique DNA and undertaking off the job learning with Lifetime Training. Responsibilities
* Support the VM Manager & Assistant Manager in day‑to‑day running of the VM department, managing both operational & new‑launch functions within the VM team.
* Assist with the creation of planograms, briefing to the design team and attending ranging meetings where necessary, working closely with the national accounts team.
* Co‑ordinate production and delivery of all customer‑facing store POS in conjunction with the marketing calendar.
* Manage the VM content of our new product launch packs, working closely with our design and product & retail team.
* Act as core VM contact for the Value Retail & Travel Retail sector of the business attending relevant taskforces & briefings.
* Assist with all VM guidance & updates for Benefit Boutiques.
* Ownership of VM guidelines for both permanent & new‑launch VM, creating instruction packs and distributing to the field teams.
* Manage VM graphic roll‑outs once designs are signed off by management.
* Support with new store openings & refurbishments working alongside Store Design team, adhering to deadlines set and ensuring VM guidelines are followed. Where required support set up of new store openings in person.
* Responsible for managing and updating store databases & VM trackers.
* Support with financial and budget tracking as set by VM Manager, raising purchase orders and working closely with the Finance team.
* Monitor stock levels of all VM items and identify when to re‑order stocks accordingly alongside Store Design Team.
* Build strong relationships with external suppliers, assist with supplier briefings.
* Monitor competitor activity & undertake regular store visits to ensure brand consistency.
Qualifications
* Genuine interest in visual merchandising within the beauty industry.
* Passionate about product, the brand and retail.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Comfortable working within a small, high‑functioning team.
* Creative eye & passion for communication.
* Flexible approach to work, ability to support changing needs and demands.
* Ability to undertake travel locally if needed and occasionally within Ireland.
* A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel & Powerpoint.
