About the role
Join our high-performing, patient-focused team at Royston Hospital, where excellence in surgical care is our top priority. As a Theatre Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in delivering outstanding care across our seven fully equipped operating theatres.
You will also:
1. Provide exceptional perioperative care, in scrub, circulating, and assistant roles
2. Ensure accurate communication of patients’ critical medical history to the surgical team
3. Work across a variety of specialties using state-of-the-art technology, including using three surgical robots
4. Be part of a highly efficient and supportive theatre team that values collaboration, professional growth, and continuous learning
This is a permanent position for 56 hours per fortnight and is located at Royston Hospital, Hastings.

About you
You will have excellent organisational skills, be flexible and open-minded, and successfully work within a team.
You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:
5. Registered Nurse with current NZ Nursing Council APC
6. At least two years nursing experience in theatre
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
8. Experienced in scrubbing and circulating for surgery
9. Committed to continuous quality improvement and personal development
