Job overview

We are looking to recruit a Receptionist/Admin Clerk to join our administrative team in this busy, friendly department. The postholder will be based within the Physiotherapy Department and cover busy public facing reception desks and back office areas. Applicants must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work in person, by telephone and email. The role involves a variety of administrative tasks, computerised systems, and requires flexibility and approachability.


Main duties of the job

* Provide a quality booking and reception service within Therapies.
* Use hospital systems to book or cancel patient appointments.
* Deal face‑to‑face with patient and clinician queries and also over the phone.
* Provide late cover when required and may be required to work flexibly across 3 sites to cover annual leave.

This postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
