About New Ways College New Ways is an Outstanding Independent SEN School with two locations. Our KS3 students are based at our South Birmingham site (B38), while KS4 and KS5 students attend our college site in North Worcestershire (B60). We cater to students aged 11-19 with special educational needs, primarily related to Autism. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND and trauma histories. Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches. Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school’s behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct. Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support Requirements Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management in special education settings.
