Sanctuary Personnel are currently recruiting for experienced Children's Social Workers to join a progressive Children's Services team in Torquay, Devon. Opportunities are available within both the Assessment & Intervention Team and the Court (Care Proceedings) Team, offering the chance to work within a supportive and forward-thinking service focused on high-quality, relationship-based practice.

Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Intervention Team
* Complete high-quality assessments for children and families at the front door of Children's Services.
* Respond effectively to safeguarding concerns, crisis situations, and emerging needs.
* Develop and implement child-focused plans to ensure safety, stability, and positive outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with families, schools, and partner agencies to deliver timely interventions.
Court (Care Proceedings) Team
* Manage complex public law cases involving care proceedings.
* Prepare clear, evidence-based reports and statements for court.
* Work closely with legal teams and partner agencies to support permanency planning.
* Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of children throughout the legal process.

Requirements
To be considered for this Children's Social Worker job, you must:
* Be a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
* Have a minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience working in direct employment with an English local authority Children's Services team.
* Have strong experience in safeguarding, assessments, and statutory social work practice.
* Be available to attend the office weekly as part of a hybrid working model.
DfE Agency Compliance Requirements
Candidates must not have left a permanent Children's Services role in the South West within the past 6 months.
