Assistant Fit-Out Estimator\n Location: Canary Wharf, London\n Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per annum\n\n The Opportunity\n Are you a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn quickly? Our client, a distinguished contractor renowned for delivering high-quality fit-out projects, is seeking an Assistant Fit-Out Estimator. This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced estimators, gaining hands-on experience in pricing various internal packages and contributing to the successful delivery of diverse projects.

They specialise in various aspects of construction, including fit-out and refurbishment services, mechanical and electrical services, and more. Their meticulous approach ensures a perfect finish in a safe and clean environment, taking contracts from inception to completion.\n\n Key Responsibilities\n \nCost Estimation: Assist in manually pricing various internal packages, considering all necessary resources and materials to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
\nTender Preparation: Support the preparation of detailed bills of quantities to allow tenderers to price works accurately. \nData Analysis: Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates. \nSupplier Engagement: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations for materials and services.
\nDocumentation: Maintain accurate records of tender and contract documents, ensuring compliance with company procedures. Qualifications\n \nAttitude and Learning Ability: A strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly are essential for this role. \nExperience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within the fit-out sector.
\nMultitrade Background: Experience in multiple trades can be beneficial, providing a broader understanding of various aspects of construction projects. \nTechnical Proficiency: Understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations. \nAnalytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical abilities, with attention to detail.
\nCommunication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members. \nOrganisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
