About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Community Scheme Delivery Team. In this role you will be part of the Council’s Traffic & Capital Delivery Team working on a range of exciting schemes from inception to implementation. Our projects cover small traffic and road safety schemes to multimillion‑pound infrastructures. The post holder will manage projects with allocated budgets and report to the Team Leader Community Schemes.
About the team
The team comprises a Team Leader, senior engineers, project officers and technicians. Working closely with the Capital Projects and Network Management Team, the primary focus is on delivery projects funded by the Council and third‑party contributions.
Responsibilities
* Manage projects with allocated budgets.
* Report to the Team Leader Community Schemes.
* Deliver projects from inception through to implementation.
* Collaborate with Capital Projects and Network Management Team.
Qualifications
* A committed, proactive and responsible engineer with a keen eye for detail.
* A driven public‑service ethos with an aim to deliver the best possible service to residents.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Fully conversant with MS Office and associated IT software used in developing and monitoring traffic/highways schemes.
