The Role
An established and growing regional law firm in Taunton, Somerset is recruiting a Private Client Solicitor or Private Client Legal Executive to strengthen its well-respected private client department.
This is a genuine opportunity to take ownership of a high-quality private client caseload, working closely with high-net-worth individuals, business owners and multi-generational families across Somerset and the South West. The firm has a strong referral base and a steady pipeline of work
Hybrid working is fully supported, alongside flexible hours and realistic targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing your own private client caseload, including:
* Wills and estate planning
* Probate and estate administration
* Trusts and trust administration
* Lasting Powers of Attorney
* Court of Protection work (optional, not essential)
* Delivering clear, practical advice with a strong client-care focus
* Building long-term client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser
* Working collaboratively within a supportive team, with full secretarial and paralegal support
* Optional involvement in networking and business development (existing workflow is strong)
About You
* Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
* 3+ years’ PQE in private client law
* Solid experience across wills, probate, trusts and LPAs
* Commercial, organised and confident dealing with clients directly
* Comfortable handling a varied caseload with minimal supervision
