Your new role As a Highways Site Supervisor, you will take ownership of on‑site delivery across a diverse portfolio of highways schemes, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards. You will be a key leader on site, coordinating teams, driving productivity, and maintaining exceptional quality.This is an ideal step for a supervisor looking to broaden responsibilities, work on larger schemes, and progress within a highly respected Tier 1 contractor.
What you'll need to succeed

o Lead and supervise daily site operations on highways projects including resurfacing, footways, drainage, kerbing, and traffic management.
o Deliver works in line with CDM regulations, RAMS, and strict safety protocols.
o Coordinate direct labour, subcontractors, and plant resources to meet programme milestones.
o Conduct regular inspections, quality audits, safety checks, and toolbox talks.
o Maintain accurate site records, diaries, permits, and as‑built documentation.
o Resolve site issues proactively and support project managers with progress reporting.
o Liaise confidently with clients, local authorities, utilities, and internal stakeholders.
o Drive a positive safety culture and uphold environmental and compliance standards.
o Demonstrable experience as a Site Supervisor within highways or civil engineering.
o Strong understanding of local authority standards, specification for highways works, and best‑practice construction methods.
o Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills.
o Ability to lead site teams and manage subcontractor performance.
