Stocking and supplying a wide range of electrical products and materials to customers across Ireland. Our customer base is primarily electricians, electrical contractors, construction firms, industrial maintenance teams and sometimes, the general public. The Position: Sales/Counter Sales We are currently recruiting for a full time, Sales/ Counter Salesperson to join our team in Cookstown. This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, customer focused individual who has an interest or experience in either electrical products or the electrical sector. Job Ref: SCSP/0326 Closing Date: 27th March 2026 Hours of work: 40 per week 8.00am to 17.00pm Monday to Friday The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and benefits package reflective of experience and qualifications. Key Duties of the Role: Working closely with the sales/management team to maximise sales by establishing excellent relationships with existing and new customers. Customer enquiries will be wide ranging, and sales contact will be provided at the trade counter and over the phone. Ensuring customer requirements are consistently met in a professional and efficient manner. Focusing on quick turnaround times for orders and projects while providing technical expertise to assist with product selection. To ensure sales targets and margins are consistently achieved to ascertain the long-term stability and growth of the company. Sourcing, negotiating and procuring electrical products and materials ensuring cost efficiency, quality and timely delivery. Managing supplier relationships, monitoring inventory levels to determine purchasing needs and issuing purchase orders, maintaining accurate procurement records. To work within the team and communicate and liaise with other team members to ensure that orders are processed and supplied correctly. Any additional duties as required by the business needs, which may include; operational support, warehousing and delivery work (receiving, checking and storing incoming deliveries. Picking, packing and dispatching orders). The company has an opportunity to offer progression within this position depending on individual experience and performance. Essential Criteria A minimum of 2 years experience within the Electrical industry. Computer literate with a working knowledge of a computerised software package (additional training will be provided on company specific computer systems). Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills. Current Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable Criteria Previous experience in a similar role would be a distinct advantage. Proven knowledge of Electrical products. Basic knowledge of a purchase order or stock control system.
