Role Description
The Product Supply Planner plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient management of stock, inventory levels, and the overall availability of products throughout the branch network. You will be part of a small team, develop and share best practice, and would report into a department supervisor/manager.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Inventory Management:
* Regular reviews of Min / Max levels in ERP to ensure we are maximising efficiencies in stock holding whilst maximising availability.
* Regular reviews of the stock availability report to capture any items not captured in Min / Max levels or not on order, with focus on critically unavailable items
Stock Ordering and Transfers:
* Requisitions to be run daily by site and orders placed either direct with mainly UK suppliers or transferred from within the business.
* Regular reviews to make sure all spec orders captured and placed by the end of the working day. Part of the back-order process
* Reduce reliance on inter-branch transfers (IBT) by ordering items directly when feasible to optimize stock management and capacity.
* You will play a pivotal role in supporting orders / back orders and needing critical thinking to work with the sales team to manage customer expectation and to fulfil as quickly as (reasonably) possible.
Stock Availability:
* Work closely with sales teams and the category team to meet demand and ensure that our core stock range is consistently in stock and readily available.
* Manage any stock outs by keeping PO info in BC up to date
* Speaking to suppliers when needed, chasing overdue PO's, stock shortages / damages / lead time updates etc
Role Functional skills:
To be a Product Supply Planner for APP you must have:
Education, Training & Qualifications
* Educated to a good level of English & Maths and basic IT skills
* Currently studying or ambition to learn more about stock control and stock management practices
Skills & Knowledge
* Excellent and thorough attention to detail
* Organisational and time management capability
* Ability to perform well under pressure
* Familiarity with information management systems, preferably with Microsoft BC
* Ability to work well with suppliers, customers and other team members
* Active listening and communication skills
* A basic understanding of health & safety
Key Performance Indicators:
A Product Supply Planner for APP is measured against:
* Stock Value vs Target (location total)
* Available stock, stock at risk & critically unavailable as a percentage of the total
* IBT's used as % of items that can be ordered directly
* Goods Received outstanding with dates in the past
* Suppliers return orders over 1 month old
* Back orders over 7 days.
* Reduce the average time to fulfil a back order.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
