KierBAM are a Joint Venture (KBJV) partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall. We are currently delivering a redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth, and we are seeking a Mechanical Package Manager.
Due to the site being a high-security military naval base, additional security checks will be required – BPSS level security clearance is necessary. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. Only candidates holding EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and who have been UK residents for the last 5 years can be considered for this role.

Hours: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: Competitive Salary + Car Allowance, Subsistence packages available if requirements are met
Responsibilities of a Mechanical Package Manager
As a Mechanical Package Manager, you'll work within the Devonport Nuclear team, supporting them to ensure all works are procured, planned, and carried out safely in accordance with project requirements and UK law.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Ensuring all works are procured, planned, and carried out safely in accordance with project requirements and UK law.
* Reviewing designs with the design teams and client to ensure they are optimized for efficient and safe construction, fully compliant with standards and contract requirements.
* Managing robust change control and risk management.
* Providing accurate and timely information to the project management team for site progress and financial reporting as required.
* Managing the successful completion of the project/area under control in line with quality and commercial plans to meet targets within timescales and budget. Ensuring the design and installation meet internal, client, and statutory requirements.
What are we looking for?
This role of Mechanical Package Manager is ideal if you have:
* HNC in Mechanical Engineering or NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management or higher
* SMSTS certification
* Experience in a similar role, preferably in sectors like Nuclear and Defence
* CSCS card – White Card (Professionally qualified person) or Black Card (Managers)
* Professional membership (advantageous but not essential)
