Business Development Director
We are supporting a market-leading engineering business specialising in high-performance drivetrain and powertrain systems, supplying customers across motorsport, automotive, EV, aerospace, and advanced engineering.
They are now looking to appoint a Business Development Director to lead hands-on commercial growth, with a clear mandate to win new business and secure complex, high-value programmes.
The Role
This is a senior, externally focused business development role. You will personally drive new opportunities, open doors with OEMs and performance-led engineering customers, and lead sales cycles from initial engagement through to contract award.
The role goes beyond account management. It requires a proven rainmaker who enjoys being front and centre with customers and thrives in technically complex, engineering-led environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Personally lead new business acquisition across motorsport, EV, aerospace, and advanced engineering sectors
2. Build and manage a 3–5 year sales pipeline aligned to business capability and growth plans
