The Company
Become part of the prestigious Nuneham Estate in Oxfordshire as the Events and Property Manager. Nuneham Estate is looking for someone to join their growing team at this exciting moment in the Estate’s development. Nuneham is a historically significant Estate just five miles south of Oxford. We are working towards developing enterprises across the Estate that build on the existing farming and residential businesses, we are creating new short stays and events enterprises, and we need the right person to help us do this. You will work alongside the existing team, assist with some aspects of estate management, and have a remit to grow and develop the holiday let and events experience on the Estate which will then enable the Estate to do more in caring for its nature, landscape and landmarks
Key Responsibilities
To organise and oversee the successful operation of the new holiday let enterprise. This will include:
Coordinating with letting agents and managing bookings to ensure maximum occupancy and revenue.
To ensure the holiday lets are presented to the highest standard
Manage all aspects of the Holiday Lets and Events business: including setting rates, utilities, and amenities like Wi-Fi, overseeing landscaping, contributing to the aesthetic arrangement in each dwelling, ensuring the accommodation is arranged to suit the needs of the guests who are staying
Be the first point of contact for queries and maintenance issues, ensuring every concern is addressed promptly and with care and working alongside the estate team to deliver this
Elevate guest experiences by using your creativity and ideas to recommend and organise personalised add-ons like catering, wellness activities, or nature walks, ensuring each stay is tailored to perfection
Craft compelling marketing campaigns and manage our social media to showcase both our holiday lets and also estate events, targeting the marketing to different audiences such as tourists, family groups, and small corporates.
Forge links with event and ‘experience’ providers who can partner with the Estate to create sought-after stays and experiences which can be offered to the target markets.
Events Management
To use your creativity and drive to develop the Estate’s events business. These can range from intimate gatherings to grand affairs.
Rationalise and target additional revenue-generating events that work in partnership with the ethos of the Estate and existing activities.
To promote all filming opportunities on the Estate and to manage existing relationships with a view to more filming taking place
Desired Skills and Qualifications
Experience in property management
Ideally, we are looking for someone with some events experience, or who has been involved with diversifying a business.
It would be helpful for the candidate to have experience working with a farm business or on a rural estate
Great communication skills and ability to work as a team player
Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and to engage key stakeholders, build relationships
Must demonstrate organisation and multitasking, with attention to detail.
Proficient in developing and implementing marketing strategies and using social media platforms to put this into place.
Adept at using IT, software, apps and other technology for marketing, social media, and as tools for property and events management.
Able to demonstrate creativity and vision in relation to our property, farm and events businesses.
Demonstrate previous experience of financial management for a small business including being familiar with forecasting, book keeping and financial reporting
Happy to work independently, self-motivated, responsible with drive and imagination
