The Lead Door Systems Engineer will form part of a team that will be engaged in looking after a large range of industrial and electrical assets located at customers premises. The work involved will include installation, repairs and maintenance and involve working with a number of clients.
Additionally, the Lead role includes the responsibility for the day-to-day provision of services and the delivery of high-quality service for individual projects and training and development of the engineering team. Also to aid in the development & growth of this area within the business, to make it a leading supplier within the industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis you will be installing and maintaining:
* All types of industrial doors and dock levellers.
* Distribute communication from the Management team to Engineers through Toolbox talks.
* Perform quality control on project installations to reduce costs.
* Provide support to the engineering team at all times.
* Work with the team in providing updates regarding engineer progression and opportunities to upskill.
* Ability to promote our core values through working practice – Trust & Respect / Teamwork / Committed to Service.
* Any other duties as deemed necessary by your line manager.
Requirement for the role
* Full driving licence
* 2+ years experience in the access and security industry.
* 5+ years experience working with powered door sets.
* Previous experience of working in an engineering capacity
* Experience of providing technical assistance remotely
* Network knowledge – Access control
* Knowledge of Access Control Systems
* Integration of External systems (Doors)
* Ability to lead a small team.
* Working away may be required at times and will always be given adequate notice.
* CSCS Card.
* DBS clearance will be required.
