Responsibilities
The applicant will be expected to provide a full range of non-invasive duplex ultrasound investigations. The Vascular Lab is based at the Queens Medical Campus and also provides a service to Nottingham City Hospital. The service is equipped with GE ultrasound systems, and we provide the full range of vascular investigations, including vascular access work and TCD imaging for children with sickle cell disease. The department provides quality assurance and training for the Nottinghamshire AAA screening programme, and we are a training centre for the STP programme. You will work closely with 10 consultant vascular surgeons, vascular radiologists and clinical nurse practitioners and will be encouraged to participate in research and audit projects within the unit.
Qualifications
The applicant should have at least 3 years experience in vascular ultrasound and preferably have full accreditation (AVS) with the Society for Vascular Technology (SVT) of GB and Ireland, or NHS Scientific Training Programme postgraduate certification or equivalent qualification.
