An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commissioning Support Officer to join our Strategic Commissioning team at Hampshire County Council. Are you looking for a challenging and diverse role working as part of a friendly and supportive team, with an opportunity to make a real difference? The Strategic Commissioning Team plays an important role in helping to ensure the care and support needs of residents of Hampshire can be met. Responsible for shaping the care market within Hampshire and overseeing providers' contractual obligations, the team works in partnership with various stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for Hampshire's residents.
The Role:
The past few years have highlighted the importance of building and maintaining strong relationships with independent providers, working across Hampshire to deliver care to some of our most vulnerable residents. As we face ongoing cost pressures and changes to our ways of working, we need to review how we work with the market to respond to these challenges, while maintaining high standards of care. We are looking for an individual with a blend of strategic, commercial, and relationship-building skills to help us work effectively with our partners to meet departmental objectives. The primary focus will be working with our Care Home Framework (CHF) providers and supporting Short-Term Services (STS) providers. The role is based in Winchester, requiring one day a week in the office and the rest of the time in a hybrid working arrangement, including travel across the County to visit providers.
What you'll do:
1. Support and maintain relationships with CHF and STS providers
2. Manage supplier performance and contract compliance
3. Support operational colleagues with local issues
4. Manage CHF, STS, and other data weekly
5. Evidence positive service change as required
We are a Disability Confident Employer, committed to inclusive and accessible recruitment and selection processes.

* Excellent communication skills for building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* IT skills and ability to accurately record information
* Analytical skills utilizing data and information
* Drive for continuous improvement
