Responsibilities
The role will report to the Sector Head of Procurement and Supply Chain and will be part of the functional SLT team and will lead on project Procurement and Supply Chain Management across their sectors. The Sector P&SC Manager role will be responsible for and can demonstrate:
1. Delivering Procurement (Pre-Contract) & Supply Chain Management (Post-Contract) across their sector, providing direction and support in the process. This will include collaborating seamlessly with the pre-construction estimating team and the post-award commercial team under our One Team, One Costain vision.
2. Ability to utilise the Procurement Process to enable ECI, guiding the team on the decision-making criteria such as (but not limited to): the maturity of the design, the preservation of commercial tension, the likely benefits realisation pipeline, the opportunity to secure scarce resource, the relationship with the proposed ECI 2-stage Subcontractor and the ability to take a recommendation through The Costain Way gated governance.
3. Project management and procurement to deliver our category strategy requirements. Project management of subcontract procurement activities, delivering predictable best-in-class outcomes which enable the project team to meet all key dates and milestones, whilst delivering high forecast accuracy.
