Overview
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you will ensure that the facilities, equipment and machinery is effectively and efficiently maintained in a safe and cost-effective manner. The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures to promote process stability and capability.
* Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance strategy, systems, processes and procedures to improve equipment reliability.
* Identify equipment issues and advise on work needed and opportunities for improvement.
* Trouble shoots equipment/process problems to root cause in conjunction with team members to ensure rapid resolution of problems and ensure team members learn from the experience.
* Involved in carrying out Criticality/Obsolescence assessments and implementing action plans
Job Requirements
* Minimum 5 year’s experience working as a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualified in both mechanical and electrical multi-skilled disciplines.
* Highly developed fault finding and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in PLC fault finding and diagnostics.
* Ability to read complex electrical and engineering drawings.
* Able to understand and change ladder logic.
* Able to write PLC programs.
* Experience in software / hardware integration
Any maintenance engineer from a manufacturing environment is welcome – FMCG, Food, plastic, packaging, distribution, automotive, metals, Forces etc.
