Established in 1997, The school provides tailored education for looked-after children and young people with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Headteacher to lead an Independent SEMH School and play a pivotal role in the wider Organisation, sitting on the company's management board. Key Responsibilities Provide strong, inspiring, and values-led leadership across the school. Ensure the continued delivery of outstanding pastoral care, safeguarding, and teaching standards. Oversee curriculum development and quality assurance, with a focus on innovative, individualised learning. Lead, support, and develop a dedicated staff team in line with the school's therapeutic ethos. Work collaboratively with residential managers, external agencies, and parents/carers to ensure joined-up care and education. Contribute strategically as a member of the company's management board. What We're Looking For A proven track record of effective and inspiring school leadership, ideally within a specialist or therapeutic setting. Experience working with pupils with complex SEMH needs or those who are looked after. A flexible, forward-thinking, and resilient approach, with the ability to engage and motivate vulnerable young people. A collaborative leadership style that aligns with a supportive, adaptable working culture. A passion for making a genuine difference to the lives of young people.
