We are recruiting for Support Workers in southern Inverness to support 2 young men with complex autism to live independently in their own homes, which are located next door to each other.

The Men We Support Are Very Active And Require Staff Who Are Physically Fit To Support Them. They Walk Up To 7 Miles Per Day, Go To The Gym And Go Trampolining, Swimming And Horse Riding Each Week. In Addition, They Enjoy Visiting Family, Playing Nintendo, Watching Youtube, Cooking, Drawing, Playing And Listening To Music And Spending Time In The Great Outdoors. As Well Supporting With The Many Activities The Guys Enjoy, Our Team Also Supports With a Variety Of Things Such As

* Medication administration
* Assisting with personal care
* Maintaining the homes and finances of the people we support

Previous experience supporting individuals with complex autism is essential, as we require staff who are resilient and can maintain strong boundaries. Routine and positive reinforcement are very important to helping support the men in their daily lives.

Our shifts start at 8am and finish at 10pm. Both gentlemen have overnight support, so we have a waking night from 10pm - 8am and a sleepover too. We are only recruiting for day shift and sleepover cover at this time.

We are currently recruiting for bank roles to support during periods of annual leave and sickness

We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
