Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in peoples lives? HCRG Care Group is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Band 3 Care Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive team.
In this rewarding role, you will provide designated, high quality care for children with complex medical needs within the community and in their own homes.
This is a part‑time role working 27 hours per week.
Main Duties of the Job
* Caring for children in their own homes, this will involve waking night shifts where you will be required to look after and respond to different health needs whilst parents get some sleep and rest.
* Being confident to look after children who have complex health needs and require medical technology such as ventilators, feeding tubes, and oxygen. You will receive full training in all aspects of a child’s care and will work with a trained colleague whilst you are learning these new skills.
* Keeping accurate records of the care you provide.
* Communicating effectively and professionally with children and families in our care.
* Working to and providing care in line with the child’s care plan.
* Recognising when a child’s health is deteriorating and following the advice and actions in the care plan.
