Accounts Receivable | £32,000 | Liverpool | Permanent, full time office
A growing and well-established group of businesses is looking to appoint an Accounts Receivable Officer to join its finance team. This is a key role focused on managing the full billing and collections cycle, supporting cashflow, and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
Working closely with senior finance, you’ll play an important part in ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and resolving any issues that could impact the business.
You will be responsible for:
* Manage the end-to-end invoicing process across multiple entities
* Raise sales invoices and credit notes in line with contracts and service delivery
* Allocate cash and maintain accurate debtor ledgers
* Proactively chase overdue payments via phone and email
* Investigate and resolve customer queries efficiently
* Produce aged debt reports, cash forecasts, and collection updates
* Support month-end processes including reconciliations and audit requirements
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce aged debt
For this Accounts Receivable Officer role, you will need to have:
* Previous experience in Accounts Receivable / Credit Control
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high volumes of transactions
* Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with customers and internal stakeholders
* Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
* Good Excel skills and experience using finance systems
