We have an excellent opportunity for a female support worker to work alongside our client in Caldicot, Monmouthshire.
Our client is a lady in her 20's who, due to brain injury, has complex needs including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and tetraplegia. She requires support with personal care, medication, feeding, and manual handling. She lives at home with her parents in a self-contained interconnecting bungalow that includes a therapy room where she receives treatments such as hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, and reflexology. She enjoys hands-on activities like crafts, sensory play, cooking, baking, and also loves music.
Due to her support needs, the successful candidate must be female, have previous experience working with complex needs and brain injury/cerebral palsy, hold a full UK driving licence, and possess soft skills such as clear communication, motivation, and the ability to build a supportive relationship with the client.
Pay: £17.60 per hour
Hours: Waking nights (21:00 - 08:00/09:00 nights, Monday – Sunday)
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting and engaging with personalized routines, including hoists.
* Completing daily living activities, such as personal hygiene and mobility.
* Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
* Providing emotional support and companionship.
* Maintaining accurate records of care and reporting changes in the client's condition.
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
