Instrument Technician required on Kuora Global Runcorn Follow plant policies and repair procedures Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair and replace process instruments as a part of the plant's maintenance program Maintain process instruments including valves, vibration monitors and other instruments Perform required environmental compliance testing and documentation Reduce cost of repairing equipment while maintaining or increasing the quality of repairs Work closely with plant operations to evaluate both routine and emergency instrument work Wear proper safety equipment in appropriate areas Be able to move in and around process equipment and confined spaces Be competent to; Check, Examine and Record on Customer Databases(IT Averse) Comprehend Technical Drawings and Other Visual Instructions Coordination with Multiple Departments Inspect Equipment Install and Dismantle Equipment Maintain Equipment EXPERIENCE Maintenance experience in the oil & gas, Chemical industry or other regulated industry – Essential Extensive experience working in hazardous areas - Essential Detailed knowledge of analyser equipment – Desirable Proof testing of safety instrumented systems QUALIFICATIONS Relevant approved apprenticeship / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent – Essential Minimum City & Guilds / ONC certificate in Instrument Engineering or equivalent – Essential Hold a Full UK driving licence and to drive company vehicles where appropriate – Essential Detailed knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX legislation (COMPEX 01-04) – Essential SBT 01-02 – Desirable 36.5 Hours per Week Duration: 31 Weeks (7 Months) with possible extension If you wish to speak to a member of the recruitment team, please contact 01224 246246.
