The Role & Requirements:
The prestigious newly refurbished Marco Pierre White Steak House Bar & Grill Restaurant at The Cube in Birmingham is looking for an Events Co-ordinator to join the team. Situated on Level 25, our three diverse events spaces boast 360-degree panoramic views over the city.
As an Events Co-ordinator you will be responsible for the day to day eficient organisation and management of our meeting and events function in order to maximise occupancy and Revenue. The range of events we cater for is diverse, from corporate dinners to baby showers, Christmas parties to networking lunches, milestone birthdays to weddings. For this reason, you must be able to communicate well with a range of stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate :
Previous experience in a hotel & event sales environment
Strong influencing & negotiation skills with the ability to convert enquiries to sale.
Excellent customer service skills
A drive to consistently exceed targets and raise sales revenue.
The ability to communicate with and understand the needs of clients from a diverse range of backgrounds.
Able to use initiative when faced with customer worries & concerns and create a workable solution.
A positive, friendly 'Can Do' attitude.
Impeccable grooming skills
Local market knowledge.
Able to work flexible shifts across 7 days per week, including weekends, evenings, and Bank Holidays.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Sales Support:
Collaborate with the Events Manager to identify potential clients and provide support in selling meeting room spaces.
Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for clients, highlighting the venue's features and services and showing around the premises.
Responding to all emails in a professional and timely manner.
Client Liaison:
Act as a point of contact for clients post-contract, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their event needs.
Collect necessary details from clients for event planning, including preferences, timelines, and special requests.
Venue Coordination:
Work closely with the venue staff to secure meeting rooms and ensure they are set up according to client specifications.
Collaborate with internal teams to address logistical concerns and guarantee the successful execution of events.
Client Satisfaction:
Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the planning process to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.
Collect feedback post-event and communicate findings to the Events Sales & Planning Manager.
Experience:
Event Management, Hospitality, Business or a related field studies.
Previous experience in event coordination.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
