Nottingham City Council Housing Services is recruiting an Assistive Technology Officer to join our dedicated Supported Housing team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a rewarding career supporting residents through telecare, telehealth, and emergency response services .
About the Role As an Assistive Technology Officer in Nottingham, you will:
Respond to alarm activations and emergency calls from vulnerable residents
Carry out home visits to install, maintain, and repair assistive technology equipment
Provide guidance and support to customers, families, and professionals
Keep accurate records using HR and case management systems
Contribute to high-quality service delivery across our Supported Housing services
Your work will make a real difference, helping residents maintain independence and wellbeing while ensuring the right support is in place.
About You The ideal candidate will have:
Experience delivering support to vulnerable adults in the community
Empathy, sensitivity, and excellent communication skills
Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimum supervision
Ability to make accurate, timely decisions in high-pressure situations
Strong organisation, prioritisation, and attention to detail
A full UK driving licence (required) and willingness to travel across Nottingham
Additional Requirements:
Enhanced DBS check

Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
