We're looking for an experienced Cloud Engineering Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team of 6 cloud engineers. This is a leadership-first role focused on team development, strategic planning, and operational excellence across our cloud platforms.
What You'll Do:
* Lead, mentor, and develop the Cloud Engineering team, building capability and driving performance through coaching, 1-2-1s, and career development planning.
* Own team strategy and roadmap, managing platform lifecycle, resource allocation, and delivery priorities aligned to business objectives.
* Drive operational excellence by establishing governance frameworks, KPIs, and processes that ensure consistency and quality across cloud operations.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Architecture, Commercial, and IT Infrastructure leadership to support strategic initiatives and influence technical direction.
* Stakeholder management – communicate progress, risks, and opportunities effectively to senior leadership and business partners.
* Foster a culture of automation, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team and across the organisation.
* Manage team budgets, vendor relationships, and ensure documentation and knowledge-sharing best practices are embedded.
What You'll Bring:
* Proven leadership experience managing and scaling technical teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
* Strong people management skills – demonstrated ability to recruit, develop talent, manage performance, and build engaged, high-performing teams.
* Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business requirements into technical team objectives and deliverables.
* Solid technical foundation in cloud platforms (Azure / AWS) and modern cloud technologies (Landing Zones, AAD, Key Vault, vNet, Terraform, DevOps, Kubernetes, API Management, CDN) – enough to provide credible leadership and make informed decisions.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills – able to influence, negotiate, and present to senior audiences.
* Experience driving governance, compliance, and operational discipline across technical teams and platforms.
