We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and drive customer growth, sales, and profitability across our division.
Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager, you will leverage your sales expertise and passion for securing new deals to maximise customer attraction and retention, divisional revenue, and profitability.
This is a field-based role, specifically targeting Tier 2 and Tier 3 clients, where you will be responsible for negotiating deals, managing accounts, and forging long-term relationships with key customers. Your primary goal will be to grow the Hargreaves customer base by identifying new business opportunities and delivering tailored waste management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive sales and revenue growth by developing new and existing business opportunities
* Secure contracts and manage accounts with Tier 2 and Tier 3 clients
* Maintain strong customer relationships and act as the primary point of contact for nominated clients
* Ensure efficient fulfilment of orders and timely resolution of customer enquiries or complaints
* Prepare and deliver impactful presentations, proposals, and contracts to stakeholders
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction
* Manage all aspects of customer interaction with accuracy, compliance, and commercial focus
* Fulfil commercial administration tasks to support the growth of customer accounts
* Champion compliance and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) initiatives across the division
Impact and Key Deliverables:
* Lead the development of new and existing business opportunities
* Efficiently manage commercial, operational, and financial functions
* Increase both existing and new business sales
* Fulfil orders in a timely and efficient manner
* Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and contracts to internal and external stakeholders
* Represent Hargreaves at customer functions and corporate events
* Support divisional growth through proactive account management and administration
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Essential:
* Proven track record in a commercial, field-based sales environment
* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable:
* Experience within the waste management industry

* Up to £50,000 basic salary

* Commission and bonuses worth up to £16,000 annually - quarterly bonus of £3000 (up to £12,000 per year), plus an annual bonus of up to £4000
