We are looking for organised and motivated registered pharmacy technicians to join our cancer pharmacy team. You will assist the pharmacists and senior pharmacy technicians in providing patient focussed quality pharmaceutical care to cancer patients receiving chemotherapy in Forth Valley Royal Hospital. This post will rotate through different aspects pharmacy service provision to cancer patients, including aseptic preparation of anti- cancer medicines, dispensing of pre-filled IV and oral medicines as well as supporting the oncology clinic and inpatient areas with cancer medicine related tasks.
As a cancer care pharmacy technician, you would help to maintain the high quality service offered to cancer patients in NHS Forth Valley and optimise healthcare resources by minimising medicines wastage. You will also work closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team in the oncology clinic, particularly the chemotherapy nursing team, to ensure that patients have the medicines that they require at the correct time.
These posts offer an excellent opportunity to develop training and skills in a supportive environment as a fully integrated member of the cancer pharmacy team.
You will participate in weekend and public holiday rotas.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
