We are seeking an experienced and motivated Health & Social Care Assessor to support learners undertaking Level 2–5 qualifications and apprenticeships.
You will assess learners in the workplace, ensuring they develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to meet occupational standards and successfully achieve their qualifications.
This is a rewarding role focused on supporting others to progress in their careers while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess learners working towards Health & Social Care qualifications (Level 2–5)
* Deliver high-quality teaching, coaching, and support
* Plan and carry out workplace assessments, observations, and professional discussions
* Support learners to build portfolios and gather evidence
* Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records in line with compliance requirements
* Provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
* Work closely with employers to support learner development
* Ensure all delivery meets awarding body, DofE, and Ofsted requirements
* Promote safeguarding, Prevent, British values, and equality & diversity
We are looking for individuals who are:

Essential Requirements
* Occupational competence in Health & Social Care
* Assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA, A1, D32/33 or equivalent)
* Experience assessing Health & Social Care qualifications/apprenticeships
* Strong knowledge of sector standards, safeguarding, and care practices
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Must have a driving license and be able to travel across the North East
Desirable:
* IQA qualification (or working towards)
* Teaching qualification (e.g. AET, PTLLS or equivalent)
* Experience working with apprenticeships standards (Level 2–5)
