Temporary Maintenance Officer – Edinburgh
Duration: 3–6 months
Rate: £22–£25 per hour (depending on experience and pay type)

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Officer to join a well-established housing association based in Edinburgh on a temporary basis.
About the role:
You’ll be responsible for overseeing and coordinating reactive repairs and maintenance across the association’s housing stock. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where strong communication and problem-solving skills are key.
Key responsibilities:

Managing day-to-day reactive repair works and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.

Liaising with tenants, contractors, and colleagues to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Conducting property inspections and identifying maintenance requirements.
*
Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
*
Maintaining accurate records and reports.
What we’re looking for:
✅ Previous experience working within a Registered Social Landlord (RSL) or housing association – essential.
✅ Strong understanding of building maintenance and repair processes.
✅ Excellent organisational and communication skills.
✅ Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
✅ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
