Title: Desktop Support Engineer
Location: Aberdeen, Scotland
Role: DSS Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform installation, training, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of desktop technology hardware and software.
* Assist with the setup and operation of audio-visual hardware as required by end-users.
* Determine appropriate hardware and software based on corporate policies and end-user requirements.
* Respond to incidents within SLA timelines, ensuring the right level of urgency and follow-up on all issues.
* Handle disconnection, relocation, and reconnection of desktop hardware for single, multi-user, and office moves.
* Roll-out, deploy, and upgrade desktop devices using imaging tools such as SCCM.
* Assist in administration and maintenance of technology infrastructure components.
* Provide support for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of office telephony systems.
* Maintain accurate hardware and software asset records.
* Use corporate incident management systems to log, track, and resolve support requests.
Ideal Candidate:
* Strong technical troubleshooting skills with both hardware and software.
* Experience with desktop deployment tools (e.g., SCCM).
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
* Ability to work independently and within SLA requirements.
