As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance to students with a range of additional needs, ensuring they receive the guidance and encouragement needed to succeed. Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Will Include: Supporting students with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis or in small groups Assisting in the delivery of personalised learning plans (EHCPs) Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Supporting students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development Assisting with classroom activities and adapting resources where necessary Always following safeguarding and school policies What We’re Looking For: Previous experience working with SEN students (school, care, support work, or similar) Strong communication, patience, and empathy Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff A calm, adaptable, and proactive approach A relevant qualification (preferred but not essential) An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
