Specialist Stop Smoking Advisor
Join the journey to empower over a million people to change their behaviours and thrive! Thrive Tribe delivers award‑winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier. We’re looking for a Specialist Stop Smoking Advisor to join our Gloji Smokefree | City & Hackney service on a fixed‑term contract until March 2026, with a possibility of extension.
Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.
Typical Day
* Delivering evidence‑based 1:1 intervention that focuses on smoking cessation, behaviour change, and psychological support to save lives by helping smokers quit for good.
* Running stop‑smoking clinics across community settings in the City of London and Hackney with in‑person days minimum of four days a week.
* Conducting CO‑level testing, advising on and providing pharmacotherapy.
* Managing a caseload of clients ensuring effective data entry and proactive client engagement, ensuring top quality service provided at all times.
* Collaborating with practice managers, GPs, nurses, pharmacists, VCSO organisations and supporting various outreach and engagement events.
* Ensuring an excellent and safe experience for clients, in alignment with our policies and procedures.
* Engaging in training relevant to your role, such as NCSCT Stop Smoking training and Behaviour Change Level 1 and 2.
* Occasional travel to our head office in Hackney to collect pharmacotherapy or attend team meetings.
* Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values.
* Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources.
* Ensuring due consideration is given to our Safeguarding, Information Governance and Clinical Governance policies and procedures. To ensure safer recruitment and safeguarding for all we adopt pre‑employment processes, including DBS checks.
