Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Location: Worcestershire Salary: Competitive Contract: Permanent Role Overview – Mechanical Engineer We’re working with a well‑established engineering and manufacturing business in Worcestershire that designs and builds industrial equipment used worldwide. They’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer who wants to work on real, hands‑on engineering challenges — not just sit behind a CAD screen all day. If you enjoy solving problems, improving designs, and being part of a team that actually builds what it designs, this will suit you well. Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Engineer Creating accurate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings. Designing mechanical components, cooling systems, and structural parts. Working closely with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are buildable and reliable. Supporting product development and improvements. Getting involved in testing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical challenges. Making sure designs meet the right standards and safety requirements. Key Experience & Qualifications – Mechanical Engineer A degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (or similar). 3D CAD experience A solid understanding of mechanical principles. The ability to produce clear, accurate drawings and specifications. A practical approach and willingness to collaborate with manufacturing teams. Good problem‑solving and communication skills. Knowledge of hydraulic systems Benefits – Mechanical Engineer 33 days per annum (including Bank Holidays) increasing with length of service. Quarterly bonus 4% employer/ 5% employee pension contributions.
