Overview
This role requires you to have current right to work in the UK which enables you to undertake the role without need of sponsorship. Accordingly, we regret that any application will not be considered if this requirement is not met. Given the current UK immigration requirements this role is not eligible for sponsorship, and it is not possible for the Trust to sponsor applicants for a visa for this role.
Responsibilities
* Maintain, receipting and ordering of pharmacy medication both within the pharmacy department and at ward level.
* Perform general pharmaceutical duties under the supervision of a Section Manager (or deputy) and/or Pharmacist and assist in the provision of a safe and effective Pharmacy service, in line with current policies and procedures.
* In the stores undertake ward based top ups and picking stock boxes, processing stock request slips, receipting and putting orders away, ordering and invoicing for stock and sorting out returned medicines from the wards. This will be undertaken under the supervision of the stores and dispensary managers in line with current policies and procedures.
* There may also be a requirement to undertake a regular dispensary slot, and to be able to assist when required.
* It is expected that the post holder will undertake in depth training to obtain a QCF level 2 in a relevant subject for the post or equivalent qualification.
* Please note: Significant manual handling is involved in this role.
