Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within council premises. The role includes cleaning a variety of areas such as offices, kitchens, toilets, communal spaces, and corridors. The post holder may also act as a key holder to access or secure the building as required. Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
* Act as a key holder for building access and/or locking up after the shift, when required.
* Toilet Areas: Sanitise all surfaces, toilets, sinks, hand dryers, pipes, cubicle walls, doors, and floors.
* Kitchen Areas: Clean and sanitise work surfaces, sinks, floors, and skirting boards.
* Offices: Vacuum or mop floors, sanitise desks, and carry out general cleaning duties.
* Corridors: Vacuum or mop floors, clean skirting boards and window sills.
* Communal Areas: Clean flooring, skirting boards, window sills, and hard furnishings.
* Operate a scrubber dryer machine where provided (training will be given).
* Follow all health and safety guidelines and cleaning protocols.
Requirements:
* Experience in using cleaning machinery (e.g., scrubber dryers) is advantageous.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Understanding of basic cleaning and hygiene practices.
* Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
