As we expand our operations, we're looking for a dynamic, highly organised, and motivated Operations Manager to help drive our mission forward. This is a pivotal role in shaping our team, streamlining our operations, and ensuring our organisation continues to grow effectively.
Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth running of our organisation. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, leading the recruitment, managing team members (working remotely and in-house), and working closely with the CEO to implement strategies that advance our mission. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both strategic thinking and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
Duties
* Work closely with the CEO on strategic planning and execution.
* Develop tailored strategies for each team member's role and responsibilities.
* Set KPIs and monitor performance against objectives.
* Lead the recruitment process of our new team members.
* Manage day-to-day office operations and ensure efficient workflow.
* Supervise and support our staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Oversee human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
* Make informed, timely decisions to support operational needs.
* Develop and implement office policies and procedures to enhance productivity.
* Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders, ensuring professional phone etiquette.
* Organise meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes as required.
* Foster a positive, mission-driven work culture.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years' proven experience in a managerial role (essential).
* Experience in the charitable or non-profit sector (highly desirable).
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams including managing staff members working remotely.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong IT skills, including knowledge of some project management software.
* Previous experience in human resources is advantageous.
* Familiarity with clerical duties such as data entry and document management.
