1. MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB To lead and grow Barfection’s permanent recruitment service by proactively developing client relationships, managing end-to-end recruitment activity, and delivering sustainable commercial revenue. The post holder will: Own permanent recruitment performance and outcomes Act as the primary point of contact for permanent recruitment clients Contribute to Barfection’s strategic shift from training provider to recruitment partner Operate with clear commercial accountability while upholding organisational values 2. Key duties and responsibilities 2.1 Business Development & Sales Proactively identify, approach, and engage hospitality employers with permanent recruitment needs Build and manage a pipeline of new and existing clients Conduct client meetings, take job briefs, and agree recruitment terms and fees Promote Barfection as a long-term recruitment partner rather than a transactional supplier Focus on higher-value and senior roles where appropriate, in line with agreed strategy 2.2 Permanent Recruitment Delivery Manage the full permanent recruitment lifecycle, including: Job briefing and role scoping Candidate sourcing and attraction Screening, interviews, and shortlisting Offer management and placement completion Ensure recruitment activity is delivered in line with agreed SLAs and internal processes Maintain high standards of candidate and client communication throughout the process Manage replacement guarantees and aftercare where required 2.3 Client & Account Management Act as the main point of contact for all permanent recruitment clients Build and maintain strong, repeat client relationships Manage expectations around timelines, candidate availability, and market conditions Address and resolve issues professionally to protect Barfection’s reputation 2.4 Systems, Reporting & Compliance Use Barfection’s CRM and recruitment systems consistently and accurately Maintain up-to-date records of: Live roles Candidate pipelines Client activity Placements and revenue Produce regular performance updates for management, including pipeline value and placements Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and organisational policies 2.5 Internal Collaboration Work collaboratively with training and sales teams to identify recruitment opportunities Accept warm introductions and referrals from colleagues, managing clear handovers Contribute insights to improve recruitment processes, pricing, and service delivery 3. Standards of performance The post holder will be expected to: Take ownership of permanent recruitment targets and outcomes Deliver consistent, high-quality recruitment services Maintain accurate records and reporting Work proactively and independently, managing competing priorities effectively Represent Barfection professionally with clients, candidates, and partners 4.
