The Role:
We are recruiting three Sample Coordinators at Lonza who will be the key point of contact for incoming and outgoing samples across three buildings on site. The coordinator will manage the movement of samples, liaising between scientists and project managers, ensuring samples are tracked, received, and distributed throughout the product life cycle.
Candidates must have strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Patterns:
***Please note that weekend and bank holiday work will be required, and shift allowance will be included.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receipt, storage, and distribution of key reagents, manufacturing, and pilot samples.
2. Coordinate shipments of key reagents, manufacturing, and pilot samples with delivery to the shipping department for outbound shipping.
3. Assist in scheduling and completing sample disposals in collaboration with QA.
4. Inventory management and stock checks of key reagents, manufacturing, and pilot samples, including notification of gaps in services provided.
5. Create key reagent stocks, including labelling, aseptic aliquoting, inventory registration, storage, supply of working stock, and shipping.
6. Maintain cold storage facilities and perform daily review checks on storage units.
7. Process batch paperwork, including document scanning and saving to network locations.
Key Requirements:
1. Experience working within a GMP environment is highly desirable.
2. Customer-focused and solutions-driven.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
5. Self-motivated, with a flexible and proactive approach.
6. High attention to detail and strong observational skills.
