The Role – SEND Teaching Assistant As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your role will involve: Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis in the classroom. Assisting pupils with a wide range of needs including ASD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD and communication difficulties. Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation. Helping pupils engage with learning and develop essential life skills. Providing personal care and mobility support when required (training will be provided). Building positive and consistent relationships with students and staff. Easily accessible from Highworth, Wanborough and Wroughton. Requirements To be successful in this SEND Teaching Assistant role, you should: Be patient, calm, and empathetic. Be open to learning and committed to making a positive impact. Be comfortable working with children with additional or complex needs. Be willing to support with personal care and moving & handling. Be able to build rapport with students and help them feel safe and supported. Driving is highly desirable due to the location and nature of the role.
