Title: Golf Retail and Food and Beverage Assistant (Dual Role) Department: Golf Reports to: Golf Manager Job Purpose/ Summary To provide excellent customer service and support across both the Golf Retail Shop and the Halfway House Food Hut. This dual role ensures a seamless member and guest experience by assisting with retail operations and delivering food and beverage services during peak times or as scheduled. Main Duties About the role… Responsible for set-up, maintenance and operation and providing of all golf services. To assist and serve our members/guests, ensuring service excellence and maximise each sale opportunity for department and club. The dual role ensures a seamless member and guest experience by assisting with retail operations and delivering food and beverage services as required. Assist the golf management team in the day to day running of the Pro shop, and golf tee-time. Co-ordinates activities of players from check-in to the first tee - collecting greens fees, assigning golf carts, club rentals, co-ordinating play and arranging practice range use when necessary. Manage golf bookings on our dedicated software for 2 golf courses, including upsells such as buggies. Provides information and directions to members/guests, answers phone calls, and takes reservations as per booking procedures Daily liaison with arriving guests, groups, and members - offering directions, facilities tours, discussing dining options and bar location Upselling range facilities, and retail items - from golf balls, course guides, to golf clothing and equipment Dealing with member equipment and clothing orders Processing payments, end-of-shift cash up and daily banking. Ensure high standards of resort knowledge, course knowledge and service offered throughout the shift Process orders through check order system and serve as appropriate Gaining feedback from golfers to improve all aspects of the customer journey Follow opening procedure and closing procedure for the golf shop. Assist the management of rentals, sales and returns, restocking merchandise, and cleaning and straightening golf shop. Assist in creating and updating merchandise displays. Actively assists the Head Pro/Director of Golf, General Manager and Sales Manager in developing new leads as well as sales blitz’s for the purpose of generation. Halfway House (Food Hut) Duties: Prepare and serve a selection of light food and beverages, including hot/cold drinks and snacks. Operate food and beverage till systems accurately and handle cash/card transactions. Ensure high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times. Replenish stock and assist with food deliveries/storage in line with health regulations. Maintain a welcoming environment for players taking a mid-round break. Monitor and manage waste, keeping the area clean and tidy at all times. General Provide a high standard of customer service across both areas at all times. Work flexibly to meet the operational needs of the golf and food & beverage departments. Comply with all health & safety, food hygiene, and club policies. Support team members and maintain a positive, professional working environment. Wear appropriate uniform for both roles and represent the club in a courteous and professional manner. Additional Information: Training will be provided for both aspects of the role. Uniform and meals on duty provided.
