We are seeking two experienced Biomedical Scientists to join the microbiology team based at Singleton Hospital. Candidates will need to be enthusiastic, well-motivated and innovative, with good organisational and practical abilities supported by scientific knowledge. Have well developed interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to lead and support individual and team working. We are advertising two posts - a Senior Biomedical Scientist with Quality responsibilities and a Senior Biomedical Scientist with Training responsibilities. Candidates should possess well developed interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to support individual and team working. Being flexible, self-motivated and with good practical skills will be fundamental to your role. You will use your knowledge and skills as a Biomedical Scientist to contribute to a robust and fully operational system within the department. You will assist in building a strong team and support the Senior Biomedical Scientists to enable continual improvements in the department and throughout the Microbiology Network. An understanding of good laboratory practice and ISO15189 quality management is desirable. The post holder will support the provision of a 24/7 service in accordance with a published rota. The post holders will be a Quality or Training Senior Biomedical Scientist in the Bacteriology department working together with the network Quality or Training team respectively.
