Salary £35K DOE + up to 12% OTE Bonus
12-18-month Fixed Term Contract

As a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, you will work as part of a small and collaborative team to deliver the full end‑to‑end payroll cycle. You’ll take responsibility for accurate data handling, timely completion of payroll processes, and supporting a positive employee experience. You’ll play a vital role in administering employee benefits programs, handling new hire enrolments, terminations, transfers, and changes, all while maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the full end‑to‑end payroll process accurately and on time.
- Produce accurate and timely payroll payments using the payroll management system.
- Process employee leave to ensure precise accountability of payroll exceptions.
- Professionally resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee queries.
- Identify and alert management of noncompliance or data quality issues.
- Organise and archive payroll documentation in line with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Administer employee benefits programs, managing enrolments, terminations, transfers, and changes.
- Support confidential administration tasks related to payroll and benefits.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ proven experience managing the entire end‑to‑end payroll cycle.
- Confident understanding of payroll legislation, statutory payments and compliance requirements.
- Comfortable working in a small team, contributing flexibly and supporting colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- High levels of professionalism and confidentiality.
Working Arrangement
This is a hybrid role. Working‑from‑home days are usually agreed within the team, and due to the collaborative nature of the work, the payroll team typically spends on‑site days together. The successful candidate will be expected to spend more time working on‑site than from home. There is also the option to work on‑site five days a week should the successful candidate prefer a fully office‑based arrangement.
