Overseeing the running of the kitchen in the chef's absence, ensuring you meet with the set high standards of food hygiene and professionalism, whilst consistently serving our visitors high quality food prepared and cooked onsite.This will include:Preparing, cooking and serving high quality meals to the standard as set out in the procedures and in line with cost targetsCommunicating effectively with all team membersProviding exceptional guest serviceEnsuring all food safety procedures are followed and adhered to, ensuring the kitchen is safe, sanitised and clean at all timesDemonstrating complete knowledge of all menus and food allergensSupporting menu planning and eventsSupporting with the ordering of stock so to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained for serviceAbout youExperienceExperience of working in a busy kitchen as a commis chef or cook roleKnowledge & SkillsAble to deliver high levels of customer serviceAble to effectively communicate with customers and colleaguesAble to be organised and follow processGood to knowWorking 5 in 7 days per week (rota agreed one month in advance)37 hours full-time contract working annualised hours (usually more hours in summer and less in winter)Must be able to work weekends and holidaysThe role will be five days/week working across a Monday - Sunday rota with possible hours between 8.30am - 6.00pm (to cover an 8 hour working day)Weekends and school holidays are our busiest times where more hours will be availableFor more information on the role please contact victoria.hadnett@dwrcymru.comPlease note, we may close this role sooner if required.
