The Opportunity: Despatch Line Leader
Job Purpose
As the shift go to person for all people and process related queries, you will support the Operational Performance of the shift team to ensure: the safety of our people at all times, ensure hazards are identified, risk assessed and controlled.
What you will contribute
Management of Health, Safety & Environment policies, initiatives and site rules for those under their control to ensure high standards of hygiene on plant and surrounding areas to deliver a zero accident culture
Delivery of key performance indicators (Despatch) and meeting weekly Despatch targets
Development support and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives amongst the team, challenging performance of people, machinery, systems and processes
Fair, consistent and effective people/performance management of the team; Coaching, Developing, training and carrying out Appraisals for team members against required processes/procedures/KPI's
Management of quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping through G.M.P. and the use of S.A.P. (If applicable) Ensure COSHH Assessments, Risk Assessments, Manual Handling, Permit-to-Work, and Contractor, Controls are in place and adhered to.
Plan, organise and measure labour requirements are appropriate to achieve production targets and are within agreed budgets
Cover for shift manager when required
What you will bring
At least 2 years Supervisory/Management experience within an FMCG business
Inspirational people skills including, leadership, motivation, Co-operation and team-working
Track record of performance delivery and delivery against targets without compromising on quality
I.T. literate – be proficient in the use of MS Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Good Communication, organisational and time management skills
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
