Project Manager – Capital Equipment / Project Engineering
Location: HD1 (Daily commute required)
Working Pattern: Flexible working available, up to 2 days per week home working
Travel: Global travel required
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in capital equipment project management and project engineering. The role is ideally suited to someone with hands-on experience in rotating equipment, separation equipment, heavy materials handling systems, or process plant equipment.
You will be responsible for managing complex capital projects from order through delivery, working closely with clients, vendors, and internal engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities

End-to-end management of capital equipment projects valued between £500k and £5,000k
*
Client-facing project leadership, acting as the primary point of contact
*
Schedule planning, monitoring, and control
*
Cost management, forecasting, and financial reporting
*
Coordination with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and installation teams
*
Vendor and supplier management, including global partners
*
International travel to visit clients, vendors, and business partners as required
Essential Experience & Skills
*
Proven experience managing capital equipment or engineered-to-order projects
*
Background in project engineering and project management
*
Experience delivering projects in the £500k–£5m range
*
Strong client management, schedule management, and cost control skills
*
Experience within one or more of the following sectors is highly desirable:
*
Rotating equipment
*
Separation equipment
*
Heavy materials handling
*
Process plant equipment
*
Ability to commute daily to HD1 3EA

Willingness and ability to travel globally
Desirable
*
Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, APM)
*
Engineering degree or equivalent technical background
*
Experience working in international project environments
