Audley Mills Ltd is seeking to recruit a qualified Dispensary Assistant to join the team at Audley Mills Pharmacy.
Working Hours
* Monday-Sunday ( Shifts will be based on weekday and weekend shifts)
* Total: 38-40 hrs a week
Role Overview
This position is intended for an experienced and qualified Dispensary Assistant. The responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake additional duties as reasonably directed by the Pharmacy Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Selling over-the-counter medicines in line with pharmacy protocols
* Providing customers with appropriate information and guidance on symptoms and suitable products
* Receiving and processing prescriptions, including collection management
* Assembling prescribed items, including generating and applying dispensing labels
* Preparing monitored dosage system (MDS) trays
* Ordering, receiving, storing, and managing pharmaceutical stock
* Liaising professionally with patients, GPs, and nursing staff
* Monitoring stock levels and replenishing or maintaining retail areas
* Receiving incoming deliveries, checking quantities against orders, and reporting discrepancies or shortages
* Supporting sales development by analysing seasonal trends and assisting with product selection
* Processing payments via till systems, including handling cash, cards, cheques, and accounts
* Assisting with end-of-shift or next-day till reconciliation as requested
* Maintaining high standards of quality, customer service, and health & safety compliance
* Managing customer queries, feedback, and complaints professionally
* Keeping informed of market trends and ensuring sales displays are up to date
* Delivering excellent customer service to maximise sales and customer satisfaction
* Applying specialist product knowledge where appropriate
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
* Completing all mandatory training requirements
* Performing any additional duties reasonably expected within the scope of the role
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£12.71 per hour
Experience:
* Pharmacy: 1 year (preferred)
